Fall Decor

Fall has FINALLY arrived at our house....

We spent some time today at our local Farmer's Market & loaded up the car

with a HUGE yellow mum, 3 pumpkins and 1 perfect hay bale!

So, we started with the yard.... and got a lot accomplished.

Step 1. Remove the Sweet Potato Vines that have so beautifully

taken over our flower beds- CHECK

Step 2. Add a touch of Fall to the yard- CHECK

Step 3. Plant gorgeous monkey grass in the beds to stick around

until the spring returns- Coming tomorrow, I hope :)

Today, I stumbled upon pictures of our house from the weekend we moved in... and boy have lots of things happened since then! I found some amazing before & afters that I wanted to share!

New Living Room Charis

So, I was flipping through the pages of a People Magazine today and imagine my surprise when I read that I have the "knock off" chair in Tori Spelling's living room! She is so cute & now I know I must have OK taste... If she can have something close to mine, then I am doing alright! Right?!?

In her living room, she has these beautiful golden chairs.... very much like these chairs that are in my living room. :)

We are working on a lot of projects this week & I hope to post the "after" pictures by next week!

Master Bath

Today, we added a little decor to our "potty closet" in the master...

Before, this room was solid white and very creepy! Not anymore, thanks to Hobby Lobby's sale on wall decor! Total cost: $ 12-

Decorating a bathroom is hard! I am still wanting & needing more for this room! I hope you all will share your comments and advice for this space to get sruced up soon!

Mod Podge Day!

Over at The Girl Creative, they are hosting a week long event called the Chick Parade. Today is Day #1 and the theme is Mod Podge!

So when we first moved into our house, this was my favorite project! I needed to create/ find an entertainment center for our guest room. I went to Goodwill and found an awesome cabinet for $59. I painted the cabinet black and added accents with beautiful damask scrapbook paper & mod podge!

I added the paper with tacky glue and mod podge... then the last thing I found were these super cute & cheap door pulls for 50% off at Hobby Lobby. Each pull cost $1.

Total Project Cost: $61. Awesome :)
